Basic Instructions: Using GreenBin is simple. First, take one GreenBin QR-code sticker from the sticker pack attached to the collection box. Place the sticker on your recyclable item, next to the product’s original barcode. Make sure both codes are clearly visible. Open the GreenBin app and select the scanner. First, scan the product barcode. Then scan the GreenBin QR-code sticker attached to the item. When you are at the GreenBin collection box, scan the QR code on top of the box. Once everything has been recorded, place your item into the collection box and you’re done. Your recycling activity is now registered in the app. When the recycling company collects the contents of the GreenBin box, your recycling is confirmed and your GreenCoins are added to your account. If your item isn’t recognised, don’t worry. Select “Add manually.” Take a clear photo of the front label, making sure the product name and brand can be seen. Then enter the brand name and material type, and submit the item for authorisation. The GreenBin team will review your request. Once the item has been approved, it will be added to the system and linked to your recycling activity. Your GreenCoins will then be credited once the collection has been picked up and confirmed. Scan. Recycle. Earn.
